E. M. Burn 'View of Cognac from St Jacques' and a Collection of Artworks (Signed) - A collection of artworks including several watercolours, an oil painting, and a portrait photograph. The group features a topographical watercolour on card, titled 'View of Cognac from St Jacques' in red ink and signed 'E.M. BURN. 98.' lower right. The collection also includes an impressionistic landscape oil painting on board or canvas depicting a river winding through woodland, housed in an ornate gilt-finished frame. A framed sepia-toned studio portrait photograph depicts a young man in a light suit and tie, bearing an ink inscription to the upper right corner. Additionally, the collection contains a loose, gestural watercolour of a harbour with red-hulled boats, and two further framed watercolours depicting coastal and woodland scenes.
