It measures 14 1/4'' in diameter (11 3/4'' excluding the rim) by 1 1/2'' in height, weighs 33.7 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks as shown.Organized in 1892 in Hartford, Connecticut, Barbour was the product of a consolidation of I. J. Steane & Co., Barbour Hobson Co., and Barbour Bros. Co. Barbour made sterling hollowware. In 1898, it was one of the founding companies of International Sterling. The International Silver Company was formed in 1898 by various independent New England silversmiths that, between 1898 and 1903, joined themselves together to form a company that became the world's largest manufacturer of silverware.
