Kangxi Dynasty Chinese Sancai Glazed Porcelain Waterpot of Li Bai - Li Bai porcelain water pot, Kangxi dynasty (1654-1722), yellow, green sancai glaze with black. Size: 7 1/4”L, 3 7/8”H, 2 3/4”W. A stunning, antique Chinese ceramic water pot or brush basin, depicting a Li Bai sancai leaning on a wine jar with a creature within. Crafted in classic Kangxi yellow, green, aubergine, and black. Superb quality, worthy of museum display. Handmade in ancient China during the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period (1680-1690). The reverse features an unglazed base, showing its age and material. Provenance: private Asian antique collector estate, Denver, Colorado. A similar Kangxi period water pot, in the same pose but painted in a different pattern, is in the collection at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
