Fine Edo Period Japanese Wakizashi Sword with Black Lacquer Saya and Matching Kozuka/Kogatana & Kogai Accessories - Excellent Edo Period Japanese Wakizashi sword presented in black lacquered scabbard (saya) with brown cord tie (sageo) and fitted iron tsuba. The hilt (tsuka) is wrapped in black braid over ray skin (samegawa), retaining gilt-toned ornaments (menuki) visible beneath the wrap. The blade is gently curved with a mid-length profile; the polish shows typical handling/age marks and faint surface scratching visible in close-ups. Accompanying the sword are two traditional mounted accessories: a kozuka with kogatana (small utility knife in its decorative handle) and a matching kogai (hair/utility pick), both with gilt-toned decoration including a raised dragon motif, and a black-ground piece featuring a chrysanthemum-style mon.
