Rare Soviet Russian Order of Friendship of the People - Rare Soviet Russian Order of Friendship of the People. Numbered 21215. The Order of Friendship of Peoples consists of four parts. The base of the order is a star with radiating rays (first part). Attached to it is a central round medallion framed by handshakes (second part), and superimposed on that medallion is the coat of arms of the Soviet Union (third part). In the lower part of the order, a red enameled ribbon with the inscription USSR is applied (fourth part). The reverse is smooth. On the reverse there are six rivets fastening the parts of the order together. Closer to the edges of the order (at 12, 4, and 8 o’clock) are three rivets holding the central circle. In the lower part of the order (at 6 o'clock) there is a rivet holding the ribbon with the inscription ”USSR”. Finally, in the central part of the order, two rivets are positioned horizontally (at 3 and 9 o’clock) and hold the coat of arms. Above these two central rivets, the mint mark MONETNYJ DVOR (”mint”) is placed in an arc (clockwise, from 9 to 3 o’clock) in raised letters. Below the two central rivets, the order number is engraved with a rotary tool. Beneath the number runs a thin raised horizontal line. Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
