ADOLF DEHN (1895-1968) MONUMENTAL OIL ON ARTIST'S BOARD - Adolf Arthur Dehn (1895-1968) Love, Labour, Leisure 1944 This painting, one of Adolph Dehn's largest and most notable works, headlined the March, 2002 exhibition of his work at Harmon-Meek Gallery in Naples, Florida. A catalog from the exhibition, also titled Love, Labor and Leisure, is included. This monumental and purely Regionalist work is signed and dated lower left front with title by the gallery label verso. The complex composition, filled with figures and subjects engaged in just that - love, labor and leisure - is underscored by a self-portrait of the artist at his easel lower right. Board measures 26 x 39 with a framed size of 34 x 47.25 inches.
