(1919-2003) EGG TEMPERA - Robert McDonald Graham, Jr. (Missouri, 1919-2003) Self Portrait, Age 20, 1941 1993 The luminous self portrait in egg tempera with oil glazes on a wood panel is signed, titled and dated verso. This painting was held in the artist's personal collection up until the time of his death. The work was then sold from his estate and has been in a private collection since that time. Board measures 18 x 15 with a framed size of 25.5 x 22.5 inches. Condition: Very good condition, noting that the artist improved instability in the medium along the top of the painting above the figure's head and in two touches of inpainting on the cheek and temple of the face.
