AN UNUSUAL 18C GEORGIAN STERLING EPERGNE ON FOOTED TRAY - The fine and unusual example is found raised on an oval, footed gallery tray with brite cut family crest. The central basket and four smaller dishes on scrolling branches are each fitted their original blown cobalt blue glass liners. Each piece is stamped with the hallmarks for London, 1791 and makers William Pitts and Joseph Preedy. Measures 14.75 x 23.75 x 21.25 inches with a weight of 94.9 ozt without the glass inserts.
