Hanson Duvall Puthuff (1875-1972)

Third quarter of the 20th century.
The plein air view of desert floor and distant hills in soft atmospheric light is signed lower right front.
Hanson Puthuff was born in Waverly, Missouri and moved to Colorado at an early age. He studied at the University of Denver Art School.
In 1903, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he became a landscape painter of note.
