Label of Jan Weiner Gallery Topeka, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri. Our thanks to Jan Weiner's son Gary for the following: Purchased by Jan Weiner gallery May '89 and sold April 92. Other things she l isted as being purchased in and around the same time included a Jasper Johns, a Frank Stella, Robert Motherwell, Charles Arnoldi a set of Warhols. Because of the quality of the artists and the fact that these were all purchased fairly close together I would guess that she bought them from a gallery. She bought a lot of things from Pace Galleries. I'm not sure if she ever met David Hockney but she also sold some art painted by his partner Peter Schlesinger.
