As noted on the title page: 'One Frontispiece and one original lithograph outside the text, one woodcut and 14 unpublished heliogravures were composed and laid out by HENRI MATISSE. The printing of the illustrations and texts was done by DRAEGER BROTHERS.' 'Nine hundred and ninety-nine copies were printed, of which forty-nine were signed by Henri Matisse and numbered from I to XLIX and nine hundred and fifty on Superior Vellum numbered from 1 to 950. The lithographic stone printed by Mourlot brothers, the engraved wood and the heliogravure coppers were scratched after printing.' Measures 9.5 x 8.25 inches.
