Charles Banks Wilson (1918-2013) Thomas Hart Benton on Campus 1977 This portrait of Thomas Hart Benton in full stride, portfolio in hand, is a model of the life-sized version near 4538 Warwick Boulevard on the campus of the Kansas City Art institute. Modeled and cast in bronze by Benton's good friend Charles Banks Wilson in an edition of 200, the figure is signed and dated in the casting and numbered 10 from the edition. This rare variant on sandstone differs from all previous examples found with a walnut base. Measures 10.5 x 10.25 x 6 inches.
