A FINE SHIRVAN PRAYER RUG DATED AH 1295 / 1878 AD - The ivory field with rows of varied plants framed within a serrated leaf lattice below a comb and flattened pointed arch, boteh, plant and jewelry spandrel, with a date inscription reading; AH 1295, (1878 AD), within a red diagonal alternating blue and white block border. Measures 64 x 41 inches; 5ft.4in x 3ft.5in; 163 x 105cm.
