AN AKSTAFA LONG RUG, LAST QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY - The blue field with four polychrome quartered pointed rectangular medallions flanked by open tailed seated peacocks supported by hooked medallions, boteh and hooked rhombus, within an ivory hooked vine and alternating hooked rectangle border, (kochanak) twin medacyl reciprocal borders. Measures approximately 116 x 50 inches; 9ft.8in; x 4ft.2in; 295 x 127cm.
