A LATE 19TH CENTURY MOGHAN SHASEVAN SOUMAC KHORJIN - A complete double bag, each face with alternating blue and ivory diagonal bands enclosing continuous hooked polychrome squares within a blue border enclosing continuous star filled medallions, one border with a single ibex. complete continuous flatwoven horizontal banded backing, with securing loops. A finely woven complete example brought to life with an extensive range of complementary colours. An endearing and unusual element is the presence of a single ibex in one side border only, woven instead of a star filled medallion. Measures 22 x 48 inches; 1ft.10 inches x 4ft; 56cm. x 122cm.
