A FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY AKSTAFA PRAYER RUG - The dark blue field with allover offset rows of polychrome octagonal medallions within a serrated saffron vine lattice below an open hooked medallion and comb dais, an ivory flower head filled arch, chevron plant spandrels within an ivory border enclosing polychrome continuous linked hooked arrow heads. Measures approximately 71 x 35 inches; 5ft.11 inches x 2ft.11in; 181 x 89cm.
