UNUSUAL SHIRVAN PRAYER RUG, EAST CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1880 - The abrashed red field with a pair if ascending trees with cruciform header supported by green totemic style lattice vines , scattered flora forms, below a green upper quarter with pointed arch rectilinear vinery spandrels, enclosing Armenian script, within a simplistic red and ivory kufic border, ivory meandering vine guard borders. Measures approximately 82 x 51 inches; 6ft.10in x 4ft.3in; 208 x 130cm.
