CHIKUUNSAI I IKEBANA BASKET WITH TOMOBAKO, ADAIR ESTATE - The unusual hanging basket in triangular form with one folded corner and a single small decorative wrap alone in the weave near the opposite corner has a top mouth opening of bundled bamboo rim bound in spiral rattan wrapping, the sloping sides articulated by applied vertical reinforcing splints secured with interval ties, forming a faceted architectural frame. The beautifully patinated work is signed on a splint verso below the original brass hanger. The original bamboo insert and tomobako are included. Basket measures 10 x 11 x 2.5 inches.
