A CIRCA 1800 JAPANESE SHONAI REGION MERCHANT'S CHEST - The rare merchant's chest with iron mounts accenting the cabinet front with sliding doors above a single drawer, the whole on four wood wheels constructed without nails or fasteners using mortise and tenon methods. A rare example circa 1790 - 1820 in original untouched condition. Measures 36.5 x 39.25 x 31.5 inches.
