SCARCE EARLY 20TH C. JAPANESE BLUE & WHITE HIBACHI PAIR - The similar pair of large hand painted blue and white porcelain hibachis are decorated in similar cobalt on white landscapes. Mr Adair describes them as follows: A pair of blue and white ceramic hibachi from the Imari kilns of Kyushu, So. Japan. All hand painted and very unusual design of wind bent pines along a sea coast - probably on the Sea of Japan. Dates from the end of Meiji or beginning of Taisho. Each measures 13H x 17 inches in diameter.
