JAPANESE FIREMAN'S COAT W/ HIRAGANA CREST, ADAIR ESTATE - The rare 19th century firefighter's jacket of thick multi-layered hand-loomed cotton features a large stylized hiragana crest set against cinnabar-red ground and an interlocking geometric ''ladder'' and ''chain'' motif in shades of indigo and red.
