A GEORGE III PAINTED PEMBROKE TABLE - The rectangular top flanked by two serpentine-shaped drop leaves is hand painted with floral swags, baskets of blossoms, and trailing ribbons. The frieze contains one functional drawer at the end, retaining its original circular brass ring pulls. The table is raised on four elegant tapered legs, each decorated with painted bellflower pendants and ending in brass box casters. The underside features swing-rail supports (some effects of insect damage ''worm wood'') to support the leaves. Measures 27.75 x 34 x 23 and top extended is 44 inches.
