JAPANESE ROOTWOOD & BAMBOO IKEBANA BASKET, ADAIR ESTATE - The tapering globular form is woven in a diagonal plaiting technique creating a swirling effect around the vessel body below a dramatic natural-root (rhizome) handle of gnarled and knotted bamboo. The base is finished with a circular braided foot. The finish is of deep soot-black tones transitioning to amber. Measures 20 x 8 inches in diameter.
