A FINE JAPANESE BASKET SIGNED CHIKUYOSAI, ADAIR ESTATE - The elegant, understated basket for ikebana in rich, dark-amber patina is constructed in a meticulous horizontal twill weave and enhanced by an exceptionally tall, airy handle that creates an interesting empty space. The form is defined by the verticality of the slender handle made from a single, gracefully bent bamboo slat secured to the body by elaborate braided knots. Accompanied by its original black-lacquered wood liner. Measures 17 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches.
