A VERY LARGE 19C. JAPANESE IMARI CHARGER WITH KIRIBAKO - The Arita kiln porcelain is decorated in underglaze blue, iron red, and gilt with fan-shaped panel reserves enclosing birds, flowering branches, and auspicious pine, bamboo, and plum motifs within geometric diaper borders, the center with a further bird-and-flower medallion, contained in original inscribed kiribako storage box, late Edo to early Meiji period 1850 - 1880. Measures 4 x 20.5 inches in diameter. Box measures 9 x 27 x 27.5 inches.
