A FINE JAPANESE FLOWER ARRANGING BASKET, ADAIR ESTATE - The shallow rounded form is skillfully woven from fine strands of bamboo in a dense bi-tonal twill finished in a tightly woven rim joining the high, arched handle composed of layered bamboo slats that spread into five individual support stays on each side. The stays are meticulously bound with triple-strand braiding. The basket is raised on an oval corded foot-ring and accompanied by its original custom copper liner with inscription.
