CHIKUUNSAI JAPANESE BAMBOO FLOWER BASKET, ADAIR ESTATE - The wide, meticulously woven shallow tray form is constructed using a combination of dense twill plaiting on the lower body and an extraordinarily fine mesh on the upper flared rim. The high, sweeping handle is composed of layered bamboo slats secured to the body with swirl knots. It sits on a corded foot-ring and is equipped with its original, custom-fitted hand-hammered copper liner. The original paulownia wood tomobako is included. Basket measures 14.5 x 15 x 15 inches.
