The expansive big sky landscape of Kansas' Flint hills is signed lower left front and inscribed verso. Pauline Shirer was born in Kansas and studied their under different instructors there and in New York at the Parsons School of Fine Art. She herself was an instructor at Washburn University and an academy in Saratoga Springs, New York. Board measures 22 x 28 with a framed size of 26.5 x 33 inches.
