Peter Hurd (New Mexico, 1904-1984) The Night Watchman 1935 The rare lithograph, numbered 5 from an edition of only 36 prints, is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left. This marks just the third appearance of this image at auction in the last 30-plus years, according to all the major databases. Four examples are held in museum collections. The example up for bid here is a fine, dark impression of this scarce print. The sheet is unframed and in excellent condition. Image measures 12 x 10.75, sheet is 16.75 x 12.5 inches. No frame.
