Chibat HaAretz on the laws of settling the Land of Israel and the maintenance of its inhabitants, with endorsement by the Rash of Babov, first edition from the author’s lifetime. Jerusalem 1897, with interesting signature
An important work on the right to live in Israel, by Rabbi Baruch David HaKohen of Tzfat, originally from Vizhnitz. First edition. With warm endorsements from the Admor Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam of Babov, Rabbi Yehezkel Shraga Halberstam of Sinoa, and Rabbi Yitzhak Leib Sofer of Drahavitz. From page 45 the author gathered excerpts from manuscripts written by Chassidic sages, which among other things refer to the importance of the tzedakah of the Kupat Rabbi Meir Ba’al HaNes, and the great holiness of the land and their intense yearning for its ground, including from the Tanya, the Sar Shalom of Belz, Rabbi Levi Yitzhak of Berdichev, and more. [4], 76, [1] page. Tears and light stains, old binding, generally good condition. Cover and blank front page have an interesting signature: “Yitzhak Isaac Eichenstein.”
