Certificate approving the carrying out of a get by a shaliach, written by the beit din of Lublin, from 1926, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yosef Menachem Peshiskher, to the rabbis of Haifa.
Letter on official letterhead of the Lublin beit din, by Rabbi Yosef Menachem HaKohen Peshiskher, Av Beit Din of Viosky. Addressed to the rabbis of Haifa, on a get sent by them (where the husband lived) via a shaliach to the wife’s residence in Lublin, notifying the Haifa rabbis that it had been carried out in Lublin, asking the husband to conclude all of his obligations to the wife, ending with the signatures of the rabbis. Official stamp of the beit din. Size: 21.5x28.5cm. Filing holes, light defects, stains, folding creases, generally good condition.
Dayan Rabbi Yosef Menachem HaKohen Peshiskher, step-son of Rabbi Tzaddok HaKohen of Lublin (his mother’s second marriage), son-in-law of Rabbi Ephraim Zvi Einhoren of Amstov. He was the rabbi of Visoky and Lublin. He was murdered in the Shoah in 1943. He signed the letter of rabbis of Lublin to Rav Kook in Jerusalem.
