"THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", CA. 1796

A great and well-preserved relic from the beginnings of the United States, "The Laws of the United States of America in Three Volumes" (Philadelphia: Richard Folwell, no. 33, Carter's Alley), 1796. Vol. III, Approx. 622pp. 8vo., in ornate marbled boards. This volume, the last in a set of three, includes the Constitution, the texts of several treaties, and the acts of the second session of the Fourth Congress, in session until March of 1797. The book is remarkably well-preserved given its age, with intact spine and few, if any, tears. Evenly toned, slight warping to the pages throughout, else very good to fine.
