ERWIN ROMMEL
(1891 - 1944) German field marshal whose Afrika Corps threw back repeated British and American assaults in North Africa, later he defended Normandy and ultimately was forced to commit suicide due to his implication in the Hitler bomb plot. War-date typed D.S. as commander of Panzergruppe Afrika, 1pp. 4to., [n.p.], an award of the Iron Cross, 2nd Class to three men in his command. File holes in left margin, else fine. With two copy photos of the general with baton, and at his funeral.
