FRIEDRICH JECKELN
(1895 - 1946) SS leader in the Soviet Union, personally responsible for ordering the deaths of 100,000 Jews and other "undesirables". Sentenced to death and hung at Riga. Important partly-printed D.S. signed twice: "Friedrich Jeckeln SS-Gruppenfuhrer", 1p. 4to., [n.p.], Jan. 20, 1934. Jeckeln swears an oath to the S.A., in which he was also a member: "...not to express myself, either in writing or orally, even after I have left the SA, about what has become known to me about the secret titles and their application...I was made aware of this as a duty of the SA...violating this order is treason...I undertake to report any breaches...if I fail to do so, I make myself as punishable as the perpetrator himself..." Dark toned spot at one corner, slightly trimmed at left with two file holes in blank margin, else very good.
