FRITZ SCHLIEPER
(1892 - 1977) German Lieutenant general and Knights Cross recipient. During Operation Barbarossa, he commanded the 45th Infantry Division in one of the intial battles, the Defense of Brest Fortress. In 1942, he was transferred to Slovakia to lead German military mission at Slovakian Ministry of Defense. S.P., 3.5 X 5.5 bw, a portrait in uniform signed post-war and adding rank. Fine.
