JAPANESE "GOOD LUCK" FLAG
White rayon Japanese flag, 32 x 26.5 in., clamp-dyed with a red "hinomaru" sun symbol at center. The hoist corners are fitted with remnants of paper reinforcements, securing cord ties. The white field is completely filled with kana inscriptions in black ink, likely exhortations wishing the recipient good luck. Evenly toned and with significant spots of soiling along the fly and hoist ends, with several small holes, else good.
