THIRD REICH NAVAL JACK
Smaller Kreigsmarine "goesch" ("naval jack"), 35 x 18.5 in., of red cotton bunting construction, clamp-dyed with a white disk and swastika at center. The hoist features an added strip of fabric stamped "Gosch" and "Gr. 3" with the size "50x85". The opposite end of the hoist contains the maker's tag, "Wurttembergische Cattunmanufactur Heidenheim a. Brz." A hemp cord is sewn into the hoist with a loop on one end, and the edges bear extra reinforcing stitches, typical of flags intended for naval service. Shows minor moth holes throughout with 2 in. tear near the flight end, else very good.
