"PEOPLE WITHOUT SPACE" WITH N.S.V. BOOKPLATE
Third Reich propaganda publication: "Volk Ohne Raum" ("People Without Space") by Hans Grimm, (Munich: Albert Langen), 1932, 1351pp. 8vo., an exhaustive dissertation of the concept of "lebensraum" ("living room"), utilized by the NSDAP to justify their conquest of other European nations, particularly Poland and Russia. The front flyleaf bears a presentation label indicating that this copy was distributed to Germans living abroad by the "Nationalsozialistiche Volkswohlfahrt" ("National Socialist People's Welfare"), or NSV. The stamp of a school in Waldenburg appears beneath this label. Shows slight damp stains within, with bumps, wear, and chips to the original dust jacket, else very good.
