PIAF EDITH: (1915-1963) French Singer. D.S., Edith Piaf, one page, 4to, [Paris], 22nd February 1963, in French. The typed document being a contract annex for a Piaf´s performances tour in Germany. The contract establishes ten clauses referring to the musicians that will accompany Piaf, the publicity agreement with German television, specifying that Piaf will be the one and only star, piano required, etc.. The seventh clause states that Theo Sarapo will conclude the first part of the show, and that his name will be entitled in large letters on adverts. Signed at the base by Piaf in bold blue ink. One of the last contracts signed by Piaf who would die that same year. Small overall age wear, with a staple to the upper left corner and few small tears to the folds, none affecting the text or signature. G
