German Imperial patriotic ring.German Imperial patriotic ring with Reichsadler and battle scenes depicted on the band.Inside the band is a quote from Otto von Bismarck 1888 speech to Reichstag - “Wir Deutschefürchten gott - sonst nichts auf der welt”, as well as date “1914” between two iron crosses.On February 6, 1888, in one of his last and most famous Reichstag speeches, Otto vonBismarck called for an expansion of the army to meet existing and potential foreign threats.Near the end of his long speech, Bismarck told the house: "We Germans fear God and butnothing else in the world!" [“Wir Deutschen fürchten Gott, aber sonst nichts in der Welt!”].
