Mishmeret HaTaharah. Schedule of study and prayer for fasting on the eve of Rosh Chodesh [Yom Kippur Katan]. Livorno, 1791. First edition.
Includes Kabbalistic prayers and supplications. The editor of the book is Rabbi Yosef Chaim David Azoulay - the Chid"a, and the book was printed in his lifetime, in Livorno, where he lived. On the title page, his name is inferred by use of the word "אחדים." In his book Avodat HaKodesh-Moreh B'Etzba, he wrote: "And I, in my insufficiency, arranged a simple confession ... and it has been printed in Mishmeret HaTaharah, which I arranged." Leaf 7 contains a prayer by the Chid"a for repentance, healing and success with Kabbalistic Name intentions. (Also refer to: M.
