Derech Chaim. Various prayers and Kabbalistic rectifications. Livorno, 1790. First edition of the Chid"a's prayers. Rare.
Services for release from vows, tashlich, release from curses, release from excommunication in a dream and Kabbalistic rectifications. The book was printed in Livorno, where the Chid"a lived, in his lifetime. The title page includes the words "דברים אחדים" as a hint on the title page, as well as a list of several of the Chida"s books, and on the reverse of the title page, 'גזרת נחש' as another lyrical reference to the Chid"a's name. On leaf 17: "Heard by me directly from our rabbi, the Chid"a ..."
The publisher. Rabbi Ya'akov Moshe Iyash, was a rabbi in several Italian communities, and the proofreader, Rabbi Shmuel b"r Moshe HaKohen, was a close associate of the Chid"a's.
