The Inquisition and Judaism: A sermon addressed to Jewish Martyrs, on the Occasion of an Auto Da Fe at Lisbon, 1705, by the Archbishop of Cranganor, also a reply to the Sermon, by Carlos Vero. London, 1845. First edition. Important polemic work.
Delivered in Lisbon by the aforementioned archbishop addressing Jews who were sentenced to be burned at the stake on September 6th, 1705. English translation. With a reply to his words by Rabbi David Nito (1654-1728) who was the sage of the Spanish-Portuguese community in London from 1701. Rabbi Nito prepared many philosophic works, the most well-known among them being Mateh Dan, Kuzari Sheni. London, 1714.
