An ivory mounted walking stick with whalebone cane - England early 20th Century
elephant ivory handle carved in the form of a female figure depicting ship figurehead with "Ship Mary" inscription, whalebone shaft made from a single piece of bone. Whalebone stick are predominantly from the East coast ports of the USA and from British ports such as Whitby, Hull and Leith. Weight 371 gr, height 84.5 cm. Item condition grading: **** quite good (base ferrule missing). Ce.S.Ar. Certificate of antiquity (pre-1947).
