Rabbi Ya'acov Reifman was a genius and a righteous man, and at the same time a well known critic, amongst the important members of the Enlightenment. His wisdom, education and written communication with the members of the Enlightenment movement did not lead his heart astray from it's pureness. At the beginning of his writing career he published his famous letter, in which at the end he describes his desire to write a commentary on the Siddur. In the book before us he fulfilled that dream.
