Yosef Magil (Maglinitzky) (1870-1945), activist and author, was born in Razinai near Kaunas and received religious education. In his youth, he was active in Zionist movements. In 1932, he immigrated to the USA, there he taught Hebrew in Philadelphia at a Jewish school. Later, he founded his own school named 'Bnei Zion'. At the same time, he also founded a Hebrew printing house. Within the framework of his activities for spreading the Hebrew language, he printed reference books and developed his own method for teaching Hebrew. He also published religious books and prayer books im Yiddish and English, which had large circulation.
At the end of the prayer book there are various advertisements, among them the book catalogue published by Maglinitzky.
