Wladyslaw Brzosko (Polish-American, 1912-2011): NYC.1962: Harlem II, Harlem River. 1962, oil on canvas, signed and dated 1962, framed. Wladyslaw Brzosko was a Polish-American artist and political dissident. Prior to emigrating to New York in 1960, he worked as an art conservator for the Polish communist party while actively fighting for a free Poland. He is best known for his brightly colored, frenetic paintings of New York City.
