Extraordinary Tin Omnibus - Francis, Field & Francis
Francis, Field and Francis Philadelphia, PA - 1850 - 14" L Francis, Field & Francis was the first toy manufacturer in the United States, beginning operation in 1838. All their toys are scarce. Large scaled toys such as this one are rare (there are maybe 5 known examples of this toy). This example was found in poor condition but with all of its parts, recently in Delaware. About 80 - 90% of the exterior paint is restored, all interior paint in original. This is a mantle piece. Fine Condition (See Description)
