A FRENCH ARMY AND GENDARMERIE COMPASS
The Modèle 1922 compass as described in an instruction document issued by the French Institut Géographique National (IGN, 1943). Its dial features a fixed black marching arrow like on the WWI pocket compasses made by MORIN and LUFFT
