Responsum regarding the permissibility of employing non-Jewish workers to engrave human figures on porcelain dishes. 3-side long responsum (Yad Elazar, Chapter 129). Not signed.
Letters by Rabbi Elazar Horowitz are scarce.

Rabbi Elazar Horowitz (1804-1868), son of Rabbi David Yehoshua Heshel of Freuenkirchen – grandson of Rabbi Pinchas Horowitz of Frankfurt. Close disciple of the Chassam Sofer, at whose insistence, he became Rabbi of Vienna in 1828. Author of Yad Elazar.

Rabbi Eliyahu Menachem Goitein (1838-1902), son of Rabbi Zvi Hirsh - Rabbi of Högyesz and son-in-law of Rabbi Yerachmiel Dov Berish Banet Moreh Tzedek of Lipto-szt-Miklos. Disciple of the Kesav Sofer, Rabbi Yochanan Spitz – Rabbi of Tab and of Rabbi Avraham Paper – Dayan of Tab. Succeeded his father as Rabbi of Högyesz in 1860. Responsa and other rabbinic writings published in Zichron Avos.
